How to fix iPhone X Voltage Jumping

Image
iPhone X Screen jumps and skips when i touch it sometimes After getting the iPhone X main board to test, we observe the current value repeatedly jumps between 0mA and 50mA on DC power supply , and it is different from the normal booting current. Next, test whether the power supply of every circuit is normal. PP_VDD_MAIN is measured 4.2V; PP_VDD_BOOST measured is 4.2V. PP1V8-ALWAYS is 1.8V, all the values are normal. But when testing PP1V1_S2, PP0V8_SOC_FIXED_S1, PP1V8_S2 and other circuit voltage that output by power chip U2700 voltage are jumping constantly. According to previous experience, voltage jump is usually caused by a power supply circuit of U2700 output. Measured with digital multimeter , there is no short circuit was found for the dipole value of all power supply to ground. We repaired iPhone 7P before and know that if crystal oscillator is false welding can also cause voltage jumping, And if iPhone CPU power supply is abnormal also can cause voltage jumping. Check the...

Repair guide iPhone 7P Large Current Fault

Image
Although the iphone may have a lot of favorite things, but there are many disappointing. A customer sent an iPhone 7P motherboard  with high current fault. When receiving the motherboard, the first step is to have observation on it, it is slightly water damaged, large current when connecting on DC power supply ,  3.8V short circuited. Because it is slightly water damaged, firstly check the specific damaged area, and find that the capacitance is corroded, which is the capacitance on the 3.8V circuit.11-2-1 Pick up the fault and solve it, then clean it in the water inlet, gently fix the trouble and test the whole function after screen installation, now all other functions are normal, but there is no service on the iPhone 7 Plus. Observe the radio frequency section under the Trinocular Stereo Microscope   , we find the reception of the front end is corroded.11-2-2 The fifth trace supply power for RF 1.8V, there is a serious corrosion and the layer is burne...

What to do if iPhone 6s can't add fingerprint

Image
My iPhone's Touch ID fingerprint scanner's not working! It won't recognise the fingerprints stored in the system. How can I fix Touch ID? The iPhone 6S accidentally dropped into the water, and then it came up with a fingerprint faulty, the iPhone 6S can't add fingerprint. So the customer sent it to us to repair. Now, let's take a closer look at this iPhone and then repair it! Disassemble the iPhone by JM-P01 Toolkit  , carefully remove the iPhone motherboard. After checking, we found signs of corrosion in the fingerprint socket, and then detect MESA_TO_BOOST_EN_CONN. Use Fluke 15B+ Digital Multimeter  to measure the diode data of PP16V5_MESA_CONN fingerprint boost boot signal and 16.5V, the data is normal. Observe the iPhone PCB board carefully under the VGA Camera 7-45X Trinocular Stereo Microscope  , we found something else. The bottom pin was severely corroded after the corrosion was removed from the fingerprint boost U4040. A2 pin PP_VCC_MAIN is disconn...

iPhone 6 WIFI is not available, how to fix?

Image
When your iPhone 6 WiFi dropping out or not available is very frustrating, don't worry, check out our more extensive WiFi Guide for additional tips. And if something worked for you that's not listed, let us know. We love sharing information and learning new approaches to help you. The customer send an iPhone 6 without WIFI, the customer said: "two mobile phone repair shop tried to fix it but didn't succeed". There are lots of solder flux cover on WiFi, it seems that WiFi has been replaced several times, a nearby resistor is also lost , the bottom of WIFI is scraped to copper wire, we can certainly confirm it's not the iPhone 6 WIFI module problem. First remove the WIFI and boot device to measure the voltage of WIFI bottom board pin, we find that 14 pin has no signal voltage, it should be 1.8V. The problem comes from here. Using a digital multimeter  to measure but no resistance, so we use WUXINJI bitmap  to check and find it is directly through CPU, is it...

Tips about Solve Weak iPhone 6P WiFi Signal

Image
Many people have seen weak Wi-Fi on iPhone 6P after iOS update, restart iPhone can be the first choice to fix iPhone 6P weak Wi-Fi signal issue, today received a iPhone 6 plus motherboard from one of our customers, according to his description, the weak WiFi signal is the main problem. How to fix it with the best solution? Picture 10-4-1 Repair process: Step 1. Install the iPhone 6P motherboard  to test WiFi signal. Obviously, It's weaker than a normal mobile phone. Picture 10-4-2 Step 2. Remove the motherboard to check, the WiFi connector circuit is not damaged, in many cases, most of repairmen would directly replace the iPhone WiFi IC  if WiFi itself gets damaged. Step 3. Since we have advanced equipment with VGA 7-45X Trinocular Stereo Microscope  to do careful observation, the motherboard is very beautiful, there is no water damage trace, the first consideration of fault is pressed parts. Step 4. Indeed, we can see the IC be pressed under the microsco...

How to repair iPad Air2 No Touch Failure

Image
IPad Air 2 screen had sensitivity issues. Its not responding well to touch. Users had issue with touching. The iPad Air 2 started with water damage failure, a part of screen got unresponsive. After sending to a repairman, the screen becomes completely unresponsive, and it was still not fixed well by another repairman. After receiving the device, we can see both of the two white touches were damaged seriously. The iPad boost diode  , black touch and electric tube had changed, and the touch screen was completely deformed. As shown in picture 12-7-1, this white touch is the least damaged, so we replace the 2 serious damaged white touch first. This white touch is general with iPhone 6 white touch IC  , so we replace it to test on iPad, the failure is still existing. Most of technicians must know that AIR2's black touch is a common trouble, so we begin to measure whether the black touch has a boost. The voltage is only 2.3V on the C4014 when measured with Fluke 15B+ digital...
