Tricks for fixing iPhone 6 Home button failure

Image
Now a lot of smartphones have only one main button,  it can be pretty frustrating when that one button doesn't really work anymore. If you have an iPhone6 home button failure, Yes, which is prone to unresponsiveness and lag. After checking, we've ruled out external issues, we excluded the peripheral accessories issues and decided the problem is on the iPhone motherboard.Picture 10-13-1 Use multimeter to measure whether the iPhone motherboard  fingerprint socket J2118#3 pin has resistance, the data is normal. When measure the voltage, we found the BUTTON_TO_AP_MENU_KEY_L_CONN only has 0.6V, it is obviously been pulled down, the normal voltage is around 1.3V. You can check those pins on phone circuit diagram. Picture 10-13-2 and Picture 10-13-3 R0313 starts with 392K, now we change it to 10K resistance, and then measure it again, we found the voltage reached 1.4V, almost normal. So we assemble the iPhone and test it, we found it's still no return function after w...

Sloved: iPhone 6 Plus displays “is searching”

Image
Trouble Phenomenon My iPhone 6 Plus service coverage now shows "Searching..." and displays no IMEI when dialing *#06# . Any thoughts and possible solutions are greatly appreciated! Repair Process Customer sends one board only. First assemble it to testing iPhone assembly and test. After power on, iPhone will display “no SIM card ” without inserting SIM card. If that happens, there is modem firmware in “about iPhone”(picture 1-40). That is to say, there is baseband. Picture 1-40 Numbers on the back of modem firmware suggests there is baseband CPU. There is not baseband, if without numbers. Input*#06# on the dial interface without inserting SIM card. If it is normal, the same IMEI in “aboutiPhone” will show up. If there is no response and IMEI after inputting*#06#, in addition, there is baseband firmware, so the problem cannot be caused by baseband. Displaying no IMEI after dialing *#06# is often caused by the two RFFE bus of baseband. There are four test points un...

About iPhone 6 displays Wi-Fi address, but cannot turn on the Wi-Fi switch

Image
Customer description says iphone 6 Wi-Fi switch cannot be turned on. the Wi-Fi MAC address can be found in about iPhone, how to fix? First teardown iPhone and then measure the diode data of Wi-Fi chip  and PCIE  bus communicating through CPU. The test point of PCIE bus is on the coupling capacitance that is on the right of U1501, as shown in picture 1-22. The Wi-Fi chip cannot be removed when the diode data of PCIE bus is being tested. Otherwise, the diode data to Wi-Fi can be infinite. The circuits between Wi-Fi solder pad and the 6 capacitances often disconnect. If that happens, measure the ends of capacitance. The normal diode data is about 350 on one end and 500 on the other end. If the iphone diode  data of the 6 capacitances is normal, then remove the Wi-Fi chip to measure the diode data of every pin of solder pad. If all the data is normal, first use a normal Wi-Fi chip to replace the old one and turn on iPhone to test. If the trouble is the still the same,...

Some experience sharing about iphone 6 Plus touch unresponsive

Image
Although the iphone 6 Plus sales hit a high number, their enviable success has slightly been marred by the bendgate issue that has given birth to “Touch Disease.” Due to a flaw in design,  Touch function failurehas been found to be prevalent on quite a few iPhone 6 Plus devices. Customer sent us the iPhone 6 Plus to repair, the customer-described failure is that the iPhone 6 Plus suddenly no touch during the normal use and this iPhone hasn't been repaired before. Because it is iPhone 6 Plus, so we first thought it is caused by iPhone black touch IC  M1 pin disconnection. Remove the black touch IC, we found that there were no signs of M1 pin was empty solder or disconnection. Anyway, now the chip has been removed, so we measure the diode data of it with multimeter. Measuring the diode data of several important pins which on black IC solder pad, all is normal. Picture 10-9-1 Then we scrap the M1 pin, and solder a jump wire  on it with phone soldering station, now ...

6 steps to fix iphone 6 plus is booting

Image
Have a problem with an iPhone. It won´t boot. iphone 6 plus is not available for booting ,which triggers current directly to about 300. Maintenance process: 1. Now, we take the 3 chips off and observe where are not clearly connected on the solder pad 3. Reloading power is triggered normally by multimeter , black and white touch are removed as shown in picture 10-8-1. 4. Installed white touch which can be triggerred with normal value while the black touch is triggerred with current about 300. Picture 10-8-2 is the motherboard that does not have a black touch. 5. After the replacement of black touch, we can reboot and enter into system properly now. 6. All the iPhone touch  function are also tested as normal.10-8-3 Finally, the iPhone 6 plus fault is successfully fixed!

Trouble troubles: An iPhone 6S dropped and then it doesn't boot. Disassemble the iPhone with phone opening tools  , and then put it connects to DC power supply , it shows big short circuit. After measure it, we found the PP_VCC_MAIN is short circuit. Many of dropped iPhones PP_VCC_MAIN filter capacitor will be short circuit. Picture 10-6-1 Remove the iPhone motherboard , and observe it under the microscope  , we found the capacitance C5283_RF next to iPhone WI-FI chip turned gray, it differs greatly from the color of the capacitor next to it. This capacitance is the filter capacitor of PP_VCC_MAIN. Picture 10-6-2 Now we directly remove this capacitor, and measure it again with ...

Repair guide iPhone 6S home button Won’t Work
